Too many people don’t care, won’t say anything or want to believe what they are told. My friends are well educated and white. I am a retired medical professional and I have sent them TONS of research from NEJM, etc. . They do not want to hear it.
When government run partly or fully by the same party one votes for says the “pandemic is over” or otherwise downplays serious concern, and downplays taking greater measures to stop the problem, plus the mass media downplays serious concern, and the public mainly follows that lead, it gets harder and harder for individuals to resist that, until a breaking point is crossed.
